Okay, if you’re reading this and you’ve been around for a while, I’m sure I know what you’re thinking. Sorry I neglected this blog for so long! I got caught up in my bookstagram for a while, but I’M BACK. And I’m back just in time for one of my favorite times of the year: Summer! It’s finally the time of year when it’s consistently warm, baseball games are in full swing, lake days are the norm, and poolside reading is a must. In light of that, here is a book review for a super cute baseball romance that I read recently.
Here’s the review ⬇️
Baseball Romance Recommendation: Beyond the Bases by Kaylee Ryan

⚾ dual pov
⚾ super cute & fast-paced
Beyond the Bases was super freaking cute! It was way more insta-love than I typically read, but I was here for it. This book was the perfect spring/baseball season read. Easton was bf goals, Larissa was a strong, badass single mama, and Princess Paisley was the cutest.
“I meant every word I said. I want to take us beyond the bases, baby.”
Easton had it BAD for Larissa! The man was going through it and was head over heels for her immediately. Typically, similar behavior gives me the ick. But I loved it here. Easton was such a good guy and knew what he wanted. He also had excellent communication skills and never let Larissa feel unworthy or unwanted. My goodness. Easton set the bar so high for real men. Oops.
Larissa was understandably more reserved about the relationship and wanted to take things slow for Paisley. Of course, when you know, you know. So “taking it slow” didn’t quite happen. But I love how this book portrayed her as a single mom. Larissa never needed Easton to come in and “save her.” Instead, she was already doing an excellent job with the help of her mom and didn’t want her daughter to become too attached to someone who might not be in her life forever. That said, I loved how she realized that letting someone in and letting someone love them didn’t make her a bad mom.
And oh my gosh, Princess Paisley was such a darn cutie! Everything she said was adorable, and she added a lot of comedic relief. I loved watching her and Easton bond and how much she loved her mama.
You should check this book out if you’re looking for a sweet baseball romance book with a bit of spice to heat up your summer.
